Flooring Underlayment Energy Absorption Demonstration

Flooring Underlayment Products

How can quality underlayments provide continuous comfort to the floor? It can boil down to how much impact energy it helps to absorb for the flooring. Let’s see!
In this demonstration, a golf ball was dropped from a height of 36” onto bare concrete (show just this video in isolation), then a golf ball was dropped from the same height over pad-attached flooring without additional underlayment (isolate this drop video ) and then the same pad-attached flooring with QuietWalk MAX and QuietBoard – upgraded underlayments beneath. (isolate these pieces as they are introduced)
Remarkably, the golf ball rebounds differently depending on what flooring structure it hits.
The lower the golf ball bounced; the more impact energy was absorbed by the flooring structure. QuietWalk MAX and QuietBoard which are made from recycled fibers, drastically bounced lower than the pad attached plank alone, showing their impressive ability to absorb impact energy and reduce sound waves from traveling to other rooms.
Both underlayments resist compressive forces, which ultimately gives support to the floor above. This makes floors more durable, last longer and feel more comfortable when walked on. As proven in an independent university study, by adding QuietWalk MAX or QuietBoard upgrades – both relieve impact forces on knees and hips when walking on the floor (graphic Relieves Up to 65,000 pounds of joint stress per day) than compared to planks with pad attached alone.
By adding a quality upgrade underlayment, make your floors more comfortable and longer lasting… all while creating a healthier and harmonious living environment within the home!
